Trading in your used vehicle can be difficult for a few reasons. “What is my used truck even worth?” or “I could probably get close to the vehicle’s black (or blue) book value selling it privately to a fellow hard working canadian” may be thoughts you have when considering buying a new(or new to you) car, truck,suv or even a RV. With so many options available to you, it may seem like a challenge making the right choice.
I currently have a financed vehicle, can I still trade it in?

I heard that selling privately will get me more for my used vehicle, is this true?
While selling privately can seem like it will yield you more capital towards the purchase of your next car, truck, SUV, or even motorhome, travel trailer or ATV. It’s not always beneficial or easy to sell your vehicle yourself.
Using Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, or AutoTrader to sell your vehicle comes with the usual annoyances too. Scams, low-ballers, and people who set up a time and day to see your vehicle just to cancel at the last minute or not even bother showing up.
